  • This TfL study examined the speed before and after installation of SLOW markings on roads and showed now statistical significance in the measured speed reductions or increases observed. By contrast, centre-line removal appeared to be more effective. Included a 40mph road alongside a school sports ground where "the
    majority of speeds along this straight road are between 40mph and 90 mph".
